The Ancestral Table: Giveaways, Events, and Signed Copies

Hi everyone, hope you’re enjoying my recently-released cookbook, The Ancestral Table: Traditional Recipes for a Paleo Lifestyle. I’ve read an overwhelming amount of nice reviews, and it’s been very heartwarming. Thank you to everyone for that.

So now it’s my time to give a little something back. Here’s a list of current giveaways that feature the book, and other great news; I’ll be doing a series of signings throughout March, and I’m also offering a service where you can buy personalized signed copies of The Ancestral Table through my local independent bookstore, shipped to your home.

Note that I’ve set up an Events page (on the top-right of this site) where you can check back for updates on signings, cooking demos, and other fun stuff.

PERSONALIZED, SIGNED BOOKS DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR

Can’t make it out to an event? I’m teaming with my local independent bookstore, The Ivy Bookshop, who is offering personalized signed copies shipped to your home.

All you have to do is order my book through their online store, and then leave a personalized message in the comments field during checkout (or leave it blank, I’ll just sign it to the name on the order); alternatively, you can call them (410-377-2966) and order. I’ll be going in once a week to sign all the books that get ordered that week! I’ll only be doing this for a limited time, probably a couple months, so please hurry and order soon!

Don’t forget that my book release party is this weekend! More info and RSVP link here.

If you’ve had a chance to read through and cook some of the recipes in the book, I would really appreciate it if you left a review on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Goodreads. Ratings and reviews go a long way towards influencing buyer decisions. Thank you!

  1. Russ, I have to tell you that The Ancestral Table is beautiful and it’s easily one of the most elegant cookbooks I have on my shelf – paleo or otherwise. Congratulations! I’ve been struggling to find time to start blogging about my own paleo/real food journey and this has been a huge inspiration. I can’t wait to start making my way through your recipes!

      1. Great! We are a growing community, we just hit 125 member on the meetup group, but I have only been really working it the last 6 months. I have to say I think your “slant” on paleo is spot on. Keep up the good work.

  3. So my book arrived today – and I’m very excited to start cooking. So much so that I already made the Parsnip Puree tonight – very tasty. Funny thing I bought parsnips the other day and was going to search for a recipe, but the recipe came to me. I like to read cookbooks as well as cook from them and I’m particularly impressed with Chapter 1 Diet and Kitchen Fundamentals – you’ve really taken the time to thoroughly explain things and I think this would be a great book for all skill levels.
Well I’m going to be very busy cooking this weekend – can’t wait.

Thanks for the great cookbook and many congratulations to you!

Oh – and I’ll be sure to catch you, Stacy and Sarah in Virginia Beach in March :)

  4. I have been lurking around this blog for about a year now, and have enjoyed the recipes a lot! My only wish is that you like onions more :).

Anyway I just got the book in kindle format and I have to say that it is excellent! I will definitely be recommending it to friends and family. I have a few cookbooks at home but never really enjoyed the ones that just have a few recipes without much explanation of the origin or why the author chose to include it. This book is definitely going up there with my previous king The Joy of Cooking.

Once I make a few of the revised dishes I will post a full review on Amazon. Thanks for sharing!

  5. I just stumbled upon your blog, and I’m glad I did. I love photography but I have such a passion for food photography because I find it so challenging! I can’t wait to read more!
